What budgets do you typically work with?+
It depends entirely on scale and route — a few framed works for a practice is a different project from a curated collection across a hotel. As a guide, projects start from several thousand euros.
You always receive a clear proposal with pricing before anything is produced.
Can you work within our timeline?+
Usually yes — and how quickly depends on which route we take.
Existing works in custom sizes and framing take a few weeks. Curated selections move at the pace decisions are made; we can be fast when you can. Work painted or created for one space alone needs considerably longer.
Tell us your deadline early and we'll say honestly what's realistic before you commit to it.
How do you decide what fits a space?+
We start with how people should feel in the room, not with what would look good in it.
That feeling points to the principles that create it, and those principles point to the works. You see the reasoning behind every suggestion — and you make the final call.
Do you only use your own work, or also other artists?+
Both. Most projects begin in our own worlds.
Where a space needs something we haven't made, we select from artists and makers we know — and only work that meets the ODE Principles.
Can artworks be customised?+
Yes. Sizes, framing, materials and presentation are all adjustable.
For signature spaces, ODE Commissioned adapts existing works into bespoke editions — or creates something that exists in your space and nowhere else.
Can you show us how it will look?+
Yes. You receive visualisations of the works in your own space, with framing, format and placement proposals, before anything is produced.
How are the works produced and delivered?+
Every project begins with the desired experience. From there, we choose the approach that best fits the brief. Existing ODE works can be customised in size, colour or finish and are produced by ODE. ODE Selected curates the most suitable works from carefully chosen artists, regardless of medium. Commissioned projects result in entirely new works created specifically for your space.
Because the desired experience comes first, the artistic response isn't limited to paintings. Depending on the brief, it may include fine art prints, original paintings, mixed-media works, sculpture or other materials and artistic interventions that best support the intended atmosphere.
Production is managed by ODE or the selected artist, depending on the project. We coordinate the process from concept to delivery and advise on placement, scale and presentation, working with your local installation partner where required.
Could the same work appear in a competitor's space?+
Our editions are limited, so a work is never everywhere.
Where exclusivity matters, we can agree on it — by region, by sector, or by making the work yours alone through ODE Commissioned.
