ODE / For artists

Your art. Seen differently.

ODE is a new kind of art company. We consider artists across every discipline and career stage — painting, works on paper, photography, sculpture, 3D objects and digital art. We look at the art first.

We look at the work, not your following

Style, reputation and reach tell us nothing about what a work does in a room. So that's not what we look at.

  • 01

    Seen by the right people

Your work is shown to ODE's audience of buyers, designers and businesses — people choosing art by how they want to feel.

  • 02

    A place in real rooms

Selected work can enter ODE collections and find its way into homes, projects and spaces.

  • 03

    Words that carry the work

We articulate what your work does — in the language of the person who'll live with it.

Where your work earns

One work. Three places to be seen.

Every space that hosts an ODE Art World is another wall for your work — and another way to earn from it. The more spaces join, the further your work travels.

Twelve founding artists.

The first twelve artists are first in line for our founding venues, featured in the Art Journal, and keep their founding terms for as long as they're with ODE.

Show us your work

Four steps

How it works

  1. Show us your work

A single piece is enough for us to begin.

  2. We take a look

If we feel there's a fit, we come back to you — with what we saw, and where it might lead.

  3. Find its place

Together we find where it belongs: an ODE collection, representation, or a place in a real space.

  4. If you're selected

We talk it through — why it fits, where it could go, and the terms. Nothing is exclusive, and nothing is sold without your say.

How your work is presented

More than a place to sell

We put into words what your work does — the feeling it carries into a room — and we sell it in that language. But it's more than that. ODE is a growing movement that believes art should do something for people, not sit anonymous in a bin of thousands. Your work is shown with meaning, given a stage, and placed where it matters.

  • Art WorldPlaced in one of five worlds, by the need it answers.

Practical things

The commercial basics, clear from the start. The full detail lives in the Artist Terms.

Read the Artist Terms
What does In Residence mean for my work?
Your work can be placed in a business space that hosts an ODE Art World — a hotel, a practice, a restaurant. We frame, install and insure it. You receive a share of the monthly fee for every month it hangs there, and your share of any sale.
Do I need to send originals?
Only if you want to. Editions work well: the work on the wall stays and a buyer receives a new copy. For originals, we agree together which works can travel.
I make digital work. Is there a place for it?
Yes. Our Living Canvas pilot shows digital works on screens in the spaces we work with, licensed per screen. Mention it when you show us your work.
What does it cost me?
Nothing upfront. We work on consignment — you're paid after your work sells.
How is a sale split?
A fixed share, agreed up front — and lower than a traditional gallery. It depends on how we work together: showing your work costs you nothing, selling through ODE shares a modest commission, and placing work in a space shares a little more, since we carry more. The exact terms are in the Artist Terms.
Who sets the price?
We set it together. We advise from what the market and the work support; nothing is listed without your agreement.
When am I paid?
By bank transfer within 30 days of a completed sale, once the buyer's return window has passed.
Is there exclusivity?
No. You stay free to sell and show elsewhere — your gallery, your site, your channels.
What do you ask of me?
Good images of your work, prices and availability kept current, and a reply within a few days when we reach out. A collaboration needs both sides present.
Who arranges shipping?
We agree it per work. Often the work ships from your studio to the buyer; we handle the sale, the buyer and the admin. Return shipping of unsold work is yours.
Who holds copyright?
You do — always. You grant us a licence to show and promote the work; ownership and copyright stay with you unless separately agreed.

No portfolio. No CV.

One piece, and a line about what it does.
